Love

love
Love is strong and love is great
an endless search for a perfect mate
Love is hard and love is deep
unspoken words and promises to keep
Love is good and love is blind
learning and laughing with an open mind
Love is the future and love is the past
sowing the seeds and children at last
Love is kind and love is giving
sharing souls and faithful living
Love is hurt and love is pain
too much to lose and everything to gain
Love is sweet and love is sincere
we smile, frown and shed a tear
Love is strange and love reaches
from the heartland to the mighty beaches
Love is grand and love is real
sweet emotions with kisses to steal
Love is danger and love is bright
huddling close ’til our bodies unite
Love is tight and love is tragic
together as one and always magic.

Christian Valentine Love Poems

Christian Valentine Love Poems
Christian Valentine’s Day Poetry Couplet by Caroline Gavin

Valentine’s Day Love Poem 1

Celebrate now we do
The season of Saint Valentine
A season of sharing our hearts
And expressing love divine
We commemorate the Saint in Rome
Who with Valentine went by name
A Saint martyred for Jesus Christ
Giving all for love and not for fame
“Valens” itself in Roman times
Meant worthy, powerful and strong
Thus this worthy martyred Saint
With our dear Savior does now belong
What is this Day of celebration then
Of candy, roses and sweet greeting?
Is it one of passionate romance
Of feelings powerful yet fleeting?
At its core and at its essence
This Day is far more than these
It is a Day of love pure and holy
One which brings us to our knees
For God Himself is love
Christ embodied love in His Life
He is our beloved Bridegroom
We, the Church, to be His Wife
Oh, glorious is this truth indeed
It touches and warms my soul
When I give my all to Christ
He completes and makes me whole
So strong is the love I have for Jesus
So passionate, so deep, so wide
Yet even greater is His love for me
And for His Church, His beloved Bride
Sing to sweet Jesus, then, on this Day
Sing of His love perfect and pure
Sing of His unending and undying love
In which you and I can rest secure
For greater love has no man
Than to lay down his life for friends
Our dear Lord died for us, mere sinners
We know then His love never ends
This, dear Christian, is the meaning
The heart of the Day we now celebrate
It is a day of sacrifice, of true love
It is a day of expressing agape great
Such is the agape-love expressed
In the martyred Saint Valentine of Rome
He poured out his life as a love offering
For his Father in his Heavenly home
And such is the love shown by Christ
Yes, by our sweet Savior on the Cross
All I have known before meeting my Lord
I consider all merely but waste and loss
So sing, dear Christian, on this Day
Lift your heart to the Eternal One
Raise your voice in songs of praise
To the Father, the Spirit and the Son
For sweet is the love we know in Christ
Precious, priceless, undying and true
A love that He shows today and every day
To me and, yes, dear friend, to you

Valentine’s Day Love Poem 2

Sweet Valentine, Sweet Love of mine
I give my all and my heart to Thee
So precious are You to me, LORD
Your Love is all I know and see
Never have I known a man
To love me more sweetly and true
Than You, my beloved Savior
In all You ever say and do
Truly you are the Love of my life
You are the One for Whom I sing
Great is the joy, the peace, the comfort
That every day to me You bring
Stay with me, my Beloved
I plead that You never leave my side
Betrothed I am, with all Your Church
To be Your pure and beloved Bride
You died for me, my Love
On Calvary You poured out Your all
How can I but answer and follow
When You, my Lord, do call?
Bind my heart to Yours, my Jesus
Grant that You and I may never part
For to know You is to know love
So I give You my all and my heart
On this Day of Saint Valentine
I celebrate You and the love You give
Wondrous it is to be in love with You
To be one with You is to truly live
May each one know you, dear Lord
May each one experience Your love sweet
May each one find You and Your Heart
May I express Your love to each one I meet
Life Eternal and Love Unceasing
Both I have found in You, the Son
You are to me everything, yes, all things
You are my meaning, my passion and my One
So a song of Valentine I sing to You
My heart beats for You as I sing rhyme
I have found my eternal and my true Love
Yes, He will be with me until the end of time.

The Cross In My Pocket

The Cross in my pocket
I carry a cross in my pocket,
A simple reminder to me
That I am a Christian,
No matter where I may be.
This little cross isn’t magic,
Nor is it a good luck charm.
It isn’t meant to protect me
From every physical harm.
It’s not for identification
For all the world to see.
It’s simply an understanding
Between my Savior and me.
When I put my hand in my pocket
To bring out a coin or a key,
The cross is there to remind me
Of the price He paid for me.
It reminds me too, to be thankful
For my blessings every day,
And to strive to serve Him better
In all that I do or say.
It’s also a daily reminder
Of the peace and comfort I share
With all who know my Master
And give themselves to His care.
So, I carry a cross in my pocket
Reminding none but me
That Jesus Christ is Lord of my life,
If only I’ll let Him be.

Good Friday Song For Little Children

Good Friday Song For Little Children
Why do we call Good Friday good,
(Use fingers to push mouth into smile)
Good Friday good, good Friday good?
When it seems so sad?
(Use fingers to pull mouth down into frown)
Isn’t dying bad?
Shouldn’t we feel sad?
Why do we call Good Friday good.
(Use fingers to push up mouth into smile)
When it seems so sad?
(Use fingers to pull mouth down into frown)
Jesus died. Oh yes, that is true.
(Hold arms to the sides, shoulder height)
Yes, that is true, yes, that is true.
Jesus died. Oh yes, that is true,
But it isn’t bad.
(Use fingers to push up mouth into smile)
Even though it’s sad
(Use fingers to pull mouth down into frown)
Jesus’ death’s not bad
Jesus died. Oh yes, that is true.
(Hold arms to the sides, shoulder height)
But it isn’t bad.
(Use fingers to push up mouth into smile)
By Christ’s death we can be set free.
(Sweep arms upward)
Can be set free, can be set free.
By Christ’s death we can be set free,
Free from Satan’s power.
(Fold arms tightly across chest)
In that sad, dark hour
Jesus broke sin’s power
(Thrust arms downward)
By Christ’s death we can be set free.
(Sweep arms upward)
Free from Satan’s power
Do you see why Good Friday’s good,
(Use fingers to push up mouth into smile)
Good Friday good, good Friday good?
Do you see why Good Friday’s good?
When it seems so sad?
(Use fingers to pull mouth down into frown)
Things that seem so sad
Are not always bad.
When Christ died, He rose from the grave.
We’re no longer sad.
(Use fingers to pull mouth into smile)

Everybody Needs A Friend

Everybody Needs A Friend
Sometimes Good, Sometimes Bad,
Sometimes happy, Sometimes Sad,
Everybody sometimes falls,
And needs a friend.
Sometimes weak, Sometimes Strong,
Sometimes Right, Sometimes Wrong,
Everybody Sometimes falls,
And needs a friend.
Walk a Mile, in His or Her Shoes,
Don’t put down, criticize or accuse.
Take the time to feel the thing,
He or She is going through;
See just how it feels
To walk a mile in His or Her shoes.
Words can Bless, Words can Curse,
Make things better, make things Worse;
Every time you throw some dirt,
You lose some ground;
Words can drown, Words can Crave
TAKE A WEAK ONE, MAKE HIM BRAVE
Every time you help someone,
You gain some Ground!

The Face of Jesus

The Face of Jesus
I saw the face of Jesus
Shining through a misty cloud
His brow and cheeks and eyes were painted
On a weathered shroud
Who rendered such a work of art?
It was by Jesus’ grace
He painted his own portrait
With the blood upon his face
His radiance shown through
The woven fabric as he lay
Entombed within a chamber
Where his body would not stay
And so He left His silhouette
Upon a fragile cloth
this mark of His redemption
So indelibly embossed
His likeness settled in my eyes
And there it still remains
This image of His countenance
In everlasting stains
A shroud of death absorbed His life
That we may someday find
This wondrous tapestry of Love
That He had left behind
I saw the face of Jesus
That was left upon the ground
In crimson ink he sketched His face
And turned my life around

Tears From Heaven

Tears From Heaven
The tears left their ducts,
where more would fall from
for His eyes see the sadness
of the days still yet to come.
They well within their rim,
till they begin to over flow
for His eyes see the sorrow
of what only He would know.
They trickle down His cheek,
and slowly start to run
for His eyes see the world
without the love of His Son.
They flood from their brims,
and puddle onto the floor
for His eyes see the day
this world will be no more.
Tears fall from up in heaven,
like a thunderous mighty rain
so many still live their lives
in futileness and in vain.
He cries for the unsaved,
the lost, the unforgiven . . .
His tears reflect those who reject
what His Son ~ has so freely given.

Who Am I

Who Am I
Who am I to judge?
Who am I to say?
Who am I to pray?
Who am I?
Who am I to ask?
Who am I to make?
Who am I to fake?
Who am I?
Who am I to love?
Who am I to lie?
Who am I to fly?
Who am I?
I ask, “Who am I?”
And don’t get any answers
Why am I here?
I want you to know I know who I am
Ask the questions and you will find out.
God is all and will always be all
Never forget He loves you and will always love you
Worship him, fear him, and love him!
That is who I am, God’s faithful servant!

To Every Thing A Season

To Every Thing A Season
For every thing under Heaven
There is a time and season.
Given by God with a purpose
As well as a simple reason.
There is a time to laugh and dance,
Joy to be expressed.
A time of birth, a time of love,
Of peace without distress.
But also found is a time to mourn,
Full of sorrow, grief to share,
A time of death and weeping found,
A time to show you care.
A time of war and ugly hate,
A time to rip and rend.
But after this, what comes to all
A time to sew and mend.
There will be certain times to lose,
And certain times to find.
At times it’ll be to cast away
Those things that are not kind.
There will be times to gather stones,
And then to cast away,
At times to hold, or embrace,
At times to hold at bay.
But most of all there is a time
To speak God’s Word aloud.
But other times its best to find,
The time with silence shroud.
To every thing there is a season,
A time and purpose there,
Given to us to keep within,
God’s Word to find and share.

Poem On Repentance

Repentance Poem
Repent -
said He
for you have wounded you
Repent -
said He
for you have wounded Me
Repent -
said He
and I will reveal your self
Repent -
said He
and I will reveal Me
Repent -
said He
and I will cleanse your sin
and I will break your bondage
and I will free your soul
Repent -
said He
and I will draw you to Me
Repent -
said He
and I will draw near you
Repent -
said He
and I will take your hand
Repent -
said He
and I will make you Love
Repent -
said He
and I will bring the Kingdom
and I will bring my fruits
and I will bring the new man
Repent -
said He
and I will show my glory
Repent -
said He
and I will make us One

Good Enough

Gods Care for Us
God wants me to be myself
For He created me this way,
And since God made me who I am,
Myself I’m quite content to stay.
In His eyes I’m good enough -
It matters not what others say;
I need not act as if I’m tough
Or copy other children’s ways.
God doesn’t care if I’m not cool -
If I’m not stronger; thinner;
In His hands I am a tool
To reach out to another sinner.
Though I am still young and small
In Jesus Christ I’m strong and tall;
So when people look at me
May it be God’s own Son they see.

She Loves God

She Loves GOD
She loves God,
she is in love with Him
and her heart sings
salvation’s joyful hymn.
She knows God,
she prays morning and night
and her every groaning
brings all of her sin to light.
She understands God,
she reads and studies the Word
and her ears are open
to the truth that she has heard.
She trusts God,
she has put her life in His hand
and her feet willingly go
to the places, He has planned.
She believes God,
she has faith in all of His ways
and her soul will follow Him
for the rest of her living days.
She is in love with the Lord,
yes, I so do love Him . . .
and my soul will forever sing
salvation’s joyful hymn!

Fathers Day Poems From Kids

Fathers Day poems from Kids

A Little Girl Needs Daddy

A little girl needs Daddy
For many, many things:
Like holding her high off the ground
Where the sunlight sings!
Like being the deep music
That tells her all is right
When she awakens frantic with
The terrors of the night.
Like being the great mountain
That rises in her heart
And shows her how she might get home
When all else falls apart.
Like giving her the love
That is her sea and air,
So diving deep or soaring high
She’ll always find him there.

A Father Is

There in every memory
See his love and care
Strength and hands to count on
Freely he does share
Provider, toil so faithfully
To make our dreams come true
Give strong and tender discipline
Though it is hard to do
A Father is God’s chosen one
To lead the family
And point it to His will for life
Of love and harmony…

Thank your dad for what you are today

O thank your dad for what you are today!
In life, a pivotal role, he does play;
‘His contribution is priceless, ‘ let’s say;
Like mother, father gives bliss anyway!
A father’s place, no person else can take;
A father’s love is of a special make;
He toils unceasingly for family’s sake;
He tells the members what is called as fake!
A fatherless child becomes unruly;
A child with father lives so casually;
With father gone, life can turn cruelly;
A father gives all, joy in family!
Respect your father for his weighs in gold;
He teaches you to be righteous and bold;
He is a fountain of wisdom when old;
His sacrifices most, remain untold!
So, wish your father on this special day;
Do greet him, hug him, kiss him anyway;
A father means a lot in life some way;
Return his love is some form, come what may!

Hugs From Heaven

Hugs From Heaven
When you feel a gentle breeze
Caress you when you sigh
It’s a hug sent from Heaven
From a loved one way up high.
If a soft and tender raindrop
Lands upon your nose
They’ve added a small kiss
As fragile as a rose.
If a song you hear fills you
With a feeling of sweet love
It’s a hug sent from Heaven
From someone special up above.
If you awaken in the morning
To a bluebird’s chirping song
It’s music sent from Heaven
To cheer you all day long.
If tiny little snowflakes
Land upon your face
It’s a hug sent from Heaven
Trimmed with Angel lace.
So keep the joy in your heart
If you’re lonely my dear friend
Hugs that are sent from Heaven
A broken heart will mend.

Climb Until Your Dream Comes True

Climb Until Your Dream Comes True
Often your tasks will be many,
and more than you think you can do
Often the road will be rugged
and the hills insurmountable, too
Always remember, the hills ahead
Are never as steep as they seem,
And with faith in your heart start upward
And climb ’till you reach your dream,
Nothing in life that is worthy
Is ever too hard to achieve
If you have the courage to try it
And you have the faith to believe…
Faith is a force that is greater
Than knowledge or power or skill
And many defeats turn to triumph
If you trust in God’s wisdom and will
Faith is a mover of mountains,
There’s nothing that God cannot do,
So start out today with faith in your heart
And Climb Until Your Dream Comes True.

A Love Poem To God

A Love Poem to God
I’ve struggled with sin for so long,
You’ve been so right, I’ve been so wrong.
When will I triumph over my sin?
When will true closeness to You begin?
At the cross you reply with a strong voice,
“My Son made the ultimate choice,
He took your sin and nailed it there with Him
So that your time being near Me could begin.
So don’t fail to praise Me with all you are
Because your sins were forgiven through His scars.”
Your love for me, o God, is beyond compare,
But I’ll do all I can to lay my soul bare
So that you can see that my love is true
All my days I will spend praising You.

Our One And Only God

Our One And Only God
Our Blessed Sacrament
Our beloved Eucharist
Is our one and only God.
The eternal source of all that is!
Of three Persons our Blessed Trinity
The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit;
Of whom the Son
Became ‘man’ in the womb
Of the Immaculate Virgin,
Our Mother Mary,
In order to teach, suffer,
And die for humanity so as
To ensure our eternal salvation
Because of His love for us.
Thus accept His offer of the Bread of Life
Which is Himself and abide eternally
With our one and only God
The loving Father of our race.

The Truth of Faith

The Truth of Faith
Visions and miracles
As claimed throughout
The history of the Church
Of Christ – the one and only
Fathered by the Pope
Cannot be simply ignored.
In spite of the truth that
Fraudulent cases exist.
The latter by persons
Who are in need of prayer.
Miracles of The Eucharist,
Visions of Our Lady,
Various medically confirmed
Cases of stigmatisation and
Innumerable cures claimed
By many sincere people
Christian and non-Christian
Cannot be swept under the carpet
Of atheism or ignored by agnosticism
Or attacked by misled Protestantism.
Nor can He who established His
Church upon St.Peter be ignored,
Especially His claim that He
And God are One!
A claim endorsed by the history
Of miracles that Jesus performed
Prior to His death and are in tune
With those recorded since the
Old Testament promised
The coming of the Creator of All
In the history of our species
No one matches Jesus
And no other faith is relevant
And why!
Because He is the Son of God,
The Son of Mary, and Our Saviour,
Who arose from the dead as witnessed
And who lives for us in The Eucharist.
In fact the Eucharist is God!

In The Field Of Silence

In The Field Of Silence
Our Creator
Manifests himself in silence
Within our personal depths
Beyond forms, words, and images…
Suppressing by his grace
All the intermediary layers
And silence will lead us
Into the depths of love.
No longer clinging to
Ideas, feelings, thoughts,
Emotions, gestures, songs,
Etcetera.
For by prayer
We communicate solely
By contemplating
Face to face as we adore
From our own condition of clay.
Silence is what remains
When we are purified.
A field open to be strolled
Day by day.
In God I see Creation
For creation comes
From the toil
Of God
The fields, the hills,
The forests, the mountains,
The seas, the rivers,
Animals and human kind
All comes from His heart.
An expression of beauty
In which love is the root
And the field is the clay
In which we are a part.

Discover The World God Created

A Helping Hand
God created the blind,
so that you can appreciate your sight.
God created the deaf,
so that you can appreciate that you can hear.
God created the mute,
so that you can appreciate that you can speak.
God created the ugly,
so that you can appreciate beauty.
God allows sickness,
so that you can appreciate your health.
God created the poor,
so that you can appreciate your wealth.
God didn’t create the poor to be deprived,
or the ill to suffer, or the weak to be defenseless.
God created a system of harmony,
a world in which everyone gives and everyone receives.
The strong defend the weak,
and the weak teach sensitivity to the strong.
The wise teach wisdom to the ignorant,
and the ignorant teach humility to the wise.
The rich give the poor valuables to enjoy in life,
and the poor give the rich an opportunity to make life valuable.
There’s a vast eternal plan, and you play a part.
So go out and find your counterpart,
begin to share what you have and receive what you lack.
You will soon discover a world of health, wealth, peace, and love.
You will discover the world God created.
