Housewarming Prayer

God Bless Our Home
By sweat of human forehead built,
And money earned in honest ways;
Reside good Christians within it;
God bless this family always!
O Holy Spirit, Dove of peace,
Preserve love, faith and unity;
Help us to live our life with ease
Through fortitude and piety.
O Mother Mary, pray for us!
Ask Jesus Christ to ever bless,
And keep our souls in grace of God,
Until we part to His abode!
Saint Joseph, show us God is first,
And how to be a father best;
And teach our children about Christ,
And emulate the Holy Nest.
O saints and angels, dwell here-in;
Pray that we stay away from sin;
And keep our soul’s gaze towards God,
Living our lives, like Jesus Lord.
O Jesus Lord, bless us, we pray;
Protect this home both night and day;
Help us to carry our life’s cross,
And serve God nobly without pause!
Lord Jesus, be our guiding Light;
Help us to speak the Truth always;
Goad us to do all things aright;
Proclaiming God to human rac

Prayer For A Good Life

Prayer For A Good Life
Grant O merciful God, that I may ardently desire, carefully examine, truly know and perfectly fulfill those things that are pleasing to You and to the praise and glory of Your holy name.
Direct my life, O my God, and grant that I might know what you would have me to do and for me to fulfill it as is necessary and profitable to my soul.
Grant to me, O Lord my God, that I may not be found wanting in prosperity or in adversity and that I may not be lifted up by one nor cast down by the other.
May I find joy in nothing but what leads to You and sorrow in nothing but what leads away from You.
May I seek to please no one or fear to displease anyone save only You.
Grant to me, O Lord God,
- a vigilant heart that no subtle speculation may ever lead me from You;
- a noble heart that no unworthy affection may draw me from You;
- an upright heart that no evil purpose may turn me from you.
Give me a steadfast heart that no tribulation may shatter and a free heart that no violent affection may claim as its own.
And finally, grant me O Lord my God, a mind to know you, diligence to seek you, wisdom to find you.
Give me a way of life pleasing to You; perseverance to trust and await You in confidence that I shall embrace You at the last. Amen.

A Prayer On A Sunday Night

Priest prays on Sunday Night
Tonight, Lord, I am alone.
Little by little the sounds
died down in the church.
The people went away,
And I came home,
Alone.
I passed people who were
returning from a walk.
I went by the cinema
that was disgorging its crowd.
I skirted café terraces where tired strollers
were trying to prolong t
he pleasure of a Sunday holiday.
I bumped into youngsters
playing on the footpath,
Youngsters, Lord,
Other people’s youngsters
who will never be my own.
Here I am, Lord,
Alone.
The silence troubles me,
The solitude oppresses me.
Lord, I’m 35 years old,
A body made like others,
ready for work,
A heart meant for love,
But I’ve given you all.
It’s true of course, that you needed it.
I’ve given you all, but it is hard, Lord.
It’s hard to give one’s body;
it would like to give itself to others.
It’s hard to love everyone and to claim no one.
It’s hard to shake a hand
and not want to keep it.
It’s hard to inspire affection,
only to give it to you.
It’s hard to be nothing to oneself
in order to be everything to others.
It’s hard to be like others, among others,
and be an other to them.
It’s hard always to give
without trying to receive.
It’s hard to seek out others
and to be oneself unsought.
It’s hard to be told secrets,
and never be able to share them.
It’s hard to carry others
and never, even for a moment, be carried.
It’s hard to sustain the feeble
and never be able to lean on one
who is strong.
It’s hard to be alone,
Alone before everyone,
Alone before the world,
Alone before suffering,
death,
sin.
Son, you are not alone,
I am with you.
I am you.
For I needed another human vehicle
to continue my Incarnation
and my Redemption.
Out of all eternity, I chose you.
I need you.
I need your hands to continue to bless,
I need your lips to continue to speak,
I need your body to continue to suffer,
I need your heart to continue to love,
I need you to continue to save,
Stay with me.
Here I am Lord,
Here is my body,
my heart,
my soul,
Grant that I may be
big enough to reach the world,
Strong enough to carry it.
Pure enough to embrace it
without wanting to keep it.
Grant that I may be a meeting-place,
but a temporary one,
A road that does not end in itself,
because everything to be gathered there,
everything human, must be led to you.
Lord, tonight, while all is still
and I feel sharply the sting of solitude,
While people devour my soul
and I feel incapable of satisfying their hunger,
While the world presses on my shoulders
with all its weight
of misery and sin,
I repeat to you my “yes”
—not in a burst of laughter, but slowly,
clearly, humbly.
Alone, Lord,
before you,
In the peace of the evening.

Forgive Me For The Things

Please Forgive Me
Forgive me for the things I have done
and not done.
Forgive me for the things I have said
and not said.
Forgive me for the life I have lived
and not lived.
That I might reflect the image
of the one I profess to follow
in thought, and word and deed
and in discovering my true self
draw others into that light.

Heavenly Father, I Call On You Right Now

Heavenly Father I Call On You
Heavenly Father, I call on you right now in a special way.
It is through your power that I was created.
Every breath I take,
every morning I wake,
and every moment of every hour,
I live under your power.
Father, I ask you now to touch me with that same power.
For if you created me from nothing,
you can certainly recreate me.
Fill me with the healing power of your spirit.
Cast out anything that should not be in me.
Mend what is broken.
Root out any unproductive cells.
Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild any damaged areas.
Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection.
Let warmth of your healing love pass through my body
to make new any unhealthy areas
so that my body will function the way you created it to function.
And Father, restore me to full health
in mind and body so that I may serve you the rest of my life.
I ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Thank You Lord For All The Wonders Of Your World

All The Wonders Of Your World
God, I know you listen When I pray to You each night
I know You’ll answer in your time I know You’ll make things right
I just want to thank You, Lord For all the things You do
I know You’re busy keeping up With all those who pray to You
So I’ll try to keep this simple, Lord I just wanted You to know
That I appreciate all You do I know it doesn’t always show
I know sometimes I let life’s rush Affect the way I live
I let the pressure influence me At times I take when I should give
Sometimes I forget to take the time To see the miracles that You do
I fail to notice the little things I apologize to You
I’ll try hard to remember, Lord To thank You when I pray
For all the wonders of Your world And for giving me each new day
Thank You, Lord! Amen.

Prayers For Pregnant Women

Prayers For Pregnant Women

Prayer For a Successful Pregnancy

Powerful is your intercession with God, Mary, for you are his mother. Tender , too, is your love for us, for you are our mother. Confidently , then, I come to you as a child, poor and needy, to seek your aid and protection. In every trial of motherhood, I beg your aid. For the grace of a happy delivery, I come to you. For your holy assistance in guarding and directing each tiny soul with which God entrusts me, I call to you. In every sorrow that comes to me in my motherhood, I confide in you.
That I may have strength to bear cheerfully all the pains and hardships of motherhood, I lean on you. That the sweetness of motherhood may not through my neglect be embittered in later years by pains of regret, I trust in you. That the will of God may always be fulfilled in me through each act of my motherhood, little and great, I beg your aid. Never forsake me dear Mother, my hope, my consolation, my confidence, and my trust, but ever be at my side to aid and protect me, your needy child. Amen. Mother of Love, of Sorrow, and of Mercy, Pray for us!

Prayer of Pregnant Women : Prayer 1

Heavenly Father, Creator of all things, you have been pleased to enable my husband and me to collaborate with you in conceiving a child. Thank you for your gracious gift. Help me to guard this new life carefully and do nothing to hurt it in any way. After my child’s birth, let me lavish him/her with love and bring him/her up in your love and service, so that he/she will become a child of yours and inherit your kingdom. Be with me, O Lord, in this greatest of tasks to comfort, strengthen, calm and enlighten me. Amen.

Prayer of Pregnant Women : Prayer 2

Father, in Jesus Christ name I worship you. I bless you and give you praise. Father, I come to you in Jesus’ name and through the blood of Jesus Christ to ask you to protect and bless the baby in my womb. Thank you Father, that every good and perfect gift comes from you. I am happy that I am pregnant. You have blessed me with a baby. Lord you said all that you create or created is good (Genesis 1: 25).
I thank you, Father, that the baby already formed in my womb is your workmanship created in true perfection according to your power. Father, all your works are beautiful and magnificent to behold. They are wonderfully finished. All your works are perfect, for every good and perfect gift comes from you (James 1:17). I thank you for a perfect baby in Jesus’ name.
I condemn every tongue that has risen against me and my baby, in accordance with your word. My baby will grow well. I shall put to bed a very healthy child. I cover the baby in my womb with the precious blood of Jesus. Amen.

A pregnant woman’s prayer

Heavenly Father, You understand me more deeply than I can ever imagine. You know my every thought and feeling. You see every step I take. You know where I am at every moment. You know what I’m going to say before I say it. I praise You for knowing everything about me.
You go before me into every situation and You follow close behind to protect me. How wonderful it is – I can’t go anywhere without Your covering! If the way is clear, You are there. If the road is dark and treacherous, You are there also. Even if I try to hide from You, I cannot. You continue to shine Your light into my life even when decisions don’t come easily or when darkness threatens me. Darkness and light don’t matter to You! I praise You for protecting me.
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit them together. You were there when I was formed. And right now, You are knitting together my child in complete secrecy. You see my child. You have planned and recorded every day both for me and for my child in Your book of life. I praise You for seeing me when no one else does.
I can’t begin to count the number of times each day that Your thoughts turn to me! Each morning when I wake up, You think of me. How precious it is to know that You think of me all the time. I praise You for caring more deeply than anyone else can. Amen.

Spiritual Warfare Prayer Against Witchcraft

Prayer Against Witchcraft
In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I come against the prince-ruling spirit and all spirit guides. I come through the blood of the lord Jesus Christ, in the name of Jesus. I paralyze you and silence you, forbidding you from influencing or strengthening them (the witch or witches) in the name of Jesus, right now!
We are destroying your very works: the spirits of hate, bitterness and murder, spirits of envy and jealousy, spirits of wizardry, sorcery and all your co-spirits, your works, your powers, your influences are destroyed in the name of Jesus!
I paralyze you, all, right now. You will not be able to use this soul any longer against the church (or, a particular person), in the name of Jesus.
I come against the spirit of blindness, binding the spirits of bondage and heaviness, fear and hate.
I pray, lord, that you will open their eyes so they can see the glory of Jesus. Open their hearts so that they can hear your voice. Break the yokes in their lives and give them liberty in their souls, that they may be free to repent. Show them every evil work and every evil deed they’re guilty of, and lord Jesus, convict their hearts unto repentance. Bring these souls out of darkness; save these souls so that you may have the glory.
Satan, i silence you in the name of Jesus, binding all your interference. You will not interfere with these souls and they will have their own free will choice so as to make up their own minds if they want to repent. They will do it without your interference. Also, lord Jesus, I pray that you will release warring angels to wage war against these demonic activities, and will send ministering spirits to minister to their souls.

Prayers For Humility

Prayers For Humility

A Prayer for Humility

O Father, give us the humility which realizes its ignorance,
Admits its mistakes, recognizes its need, welcomes advice,
Accepts rebuke. Help us always to praise rather than to criticize,
To sympathize rather than to discourage, to build rather than to destroy,
And to think of people at their best rather than at their worst.
This we ask for thy name’s sake. Amen.
- – - Prayer of William Barclay

Humility Prayer

Lord, lead me in humbleness. Teach me not to judge, because in judgment in my heart limits your work. Let me find forgiveness through humbleness. As you lead in humility may mercy be companion, and grace my covering. Through humility, may love be seen in me. May I find god’s truth, Jesus Christ in humility. Lord, help me wear the cloak of humility. May it be my mantle. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer to be humble

O God, who resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble: grant us the virtue of true humility, where of Your Only-begotten son showed in Himself a pattern for Your faithful; that we may never by our pride provoke Your anger, but rather by our meekness receive the riches of Your grace. Amen.

Prayers Against Lust

Prayers against Lust

First Prayer Against Lust

My God, You have given me a body to keep pure and clean and healthy for Your service and my eternal happiness. Forgive me for all my unfaithfulness in this great responsibility. Forgive me for every mean use which I have made of Your gifts in thought, word or deed since my rebirth as Your own adopted child in Baptism and my registration as a soldier of Jesus on the day of my Confirmation. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and give me a steadfast will that I may be a strength to others around me. Teach me to respect my body and the bodies of my fellow creatures. Help me to see the glory of perfect manhood In Jesus Christ and of perfect womanhood in Mary Immaculate. Inspire me with such love for the ideals for which our Savior lived and died that all my passions and energies will be caught up into the enthusiasm of His service, and evil things will lose their power. May my body be the servant of my soul, and may both body and soul be Your servants. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

Second Prayer Against Lust

Mary, Mother most pure, and Joseph, chaste guardian of the Virgin, to you I entrust the purity of my soul and body. I beg you to plead with God for me that I may never for the remainder of my life soil my soul by any sin of impurity. I earnestly wish to be pure in thought, word and deed in imitation of your own holy purity. Obtain for me a deep sense of modesty, which will be reflected in my external conduct. Protect my eyes, the windows of my soul, from anything that might dim the luster of a heart that must mirror only Christ-like purity. And when the “Bread of Angels” becomes my food in Holy Communion, seal my heart forever against the suggestions of sinful pleasures. Finally, may I be among the number of those of whom Jesus spoke, “Blessed are the pure of heart for they shall see God.” Amen.

Short Prayer Against Lust

Lord, inflame our hearts and our inmost beings with the fire of Your Holy Spirit, that we may serve You with chaste bodies and pure minds. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer At Times Of Work Pressure

Prayer at times of work pressure
Heavenly Father! I thank You for the job You have given me! I consider it as a great gift from You.
Yet Lord, You know the stress I am undergoing in my job.  Sometimes I feel like just quitting due to the heavy pressures and responsibilities pushed upon me.  I seem to have lost all my strength and I am struggling to cope up with the world Lord!
Your word says that You love the prosperity of Your children.  So, please be with me and bless all my efforts so that I can excel in my career. Grant me Your grace, which is sufficient to carry me through the most difficult times at my work-spot. Let me find favour in the eyes of my authorities!
I plead for Your divine wisdom and strength to tide over the problem that crop-up in my job. Keep me in perfect peace O Lord so that I may do my work with freedom and bring glory to Your name. I know You will do it because You are the one who relieves me whenever I am in distress. I give You all the glory! In Jesus’ name – I pray. Amen.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. – Philippians 4:13

Prayers For Forgiveness

Prayers For Forgiveness

Prayer 1:

O loving and kind God, have mercy. Have pity upon me and take away the awful stain of my transgressions. Oh, wash me, cleanse me from this guilt. Let me be pure again. For I admit my shameful deed-it haunts me day and night. It is against you and you alone I sinned and did this terrible thing. You saw it all, and your sentence against me is just. Create in me a new, clean heart, O God, filled with clean thoughts and right desires. Don’t toss me aside, banished forever from your presence. Don’t take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me again the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. (Psalm 51:1-12 TLB) Amen.

Prayer 2:

O God, I need to feel that I have forgiveness from You. So often my good intentions do not become what I want them to be, and so often the good I want to do, I don’t do. It is hard to face up to the wrong that is in my life. When I feel Your forgiveness, I feel clean and good inside and so free to be what You want me to be. Help me feel this goodness, and strengthen me to forgive those who have wronged me. I pray in the name of Christ who shows us the way to Your forgiving presence. Amen.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (I John 1:9)

A Thanksgiving Day Prayer

A Thanksgiving Day Prayer
Lord, so often times, as any other day
When we sit down to our meal and pray
We hurry along and make fast the blessing
Thanks, amen. Now please pass the dressing
We’re slaves to the olfactory overload
We must rush our prayer before the food gets cold
But Lord, I’d like to take a few minute more
To really give thanks to what I’m thankful for
For my family, my health, a nice soft bed
My friends, my freedom, a roof over my head
I’m thankful right now to be surrounded by those
Whose lives touch me more than they’ll ever possibly know
Thankful Lord, that You’ve blessed me beyond measure
Thankful that in my heart lives life’s greatest treasure
That You, dear Jesus, reside in that place
And I’m ever so grateful for Your unending grace
So please, heavenly Father, bless this food You’ve provided
And bless each and every person invited.
Amen!

Growths, Tumors, and Arthritis

Jesus bore the curse for me; therefore, I forbid growths and tumors to inhabit my body. The life of God within me dissolves growths and tumors, and my strength and health is restored. (Matt. 16:19; John 14:13; Mark 11:23)

That which God has not planted is dissolved and rooted out of my body in Jesus name. First Peter 2:24 is engrafted into every fiber of my being and I am alive with the life of God. (Mark 11:23; John 6:63)
